Dr. Jason Worrall (a.k.a. Dr. Jason) is a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine who prides himself on helping people heal from the inside out. He explains why everyone should get adjusted and the numerous benefits of living in physical, emotional, and spiritual alignment.

Why do people need chiropractic care:

“Most people are walking around with a level of awareness that they think they’re connected and maybe they do yoga or Pilates or other exercises, but if your spine is out of alignment, there’s a literal disconnect, brain to body. … So, when your spine is out of alignment, you actually get altered input, which you can think of like a staticky signal or like a poor Wi-Fi signal.”

What does somebody “in alignment” look and feel like:

“Less anxiety, less feelings of stress internally. They’re going to assimilate stress. … Stress is defined as a change in environment. And stress can be internal in our body, physiologically, emotionally. It can be external in the external world, like an accident or emotional stress. And we deal with stress both internal and external, through our nervous system. So, when you’re connected spine to mind aligned, then you’re going to assimilate stress better. Have less of a rise, less of a down, be more even keeled as a person.”

Should you get checked even if you feel fine:

“(I) measure everything. We analyze everything because we practice corrective care, but we have never lost sight of the vitality that flows through the body. So, I think for a particular person, you want to assess what do you need or want out of your body. … For a high performer, somebody who takes really good care of their body, they might want a higher level of care. And for somebody who just is being introduced to it, and they want something very basic, they can go for a more basic type of care. Spinal mobility is, it’s a huge part of health man.”

Why is helping people so important to Dr. Jason:

“The greatest healers are the ones with the most pain, you know? … One day I was so sick and tired of suffering. I got adjusted and it was like the, the room got brighter, you know? And I started questioning the bad decisions I was making and I just said, I have to do this for other people. I have to stop suffering or help stop suffering. I. And I think really our whole purpose in life is to create the man or the woman that we’re capable of being and that ultimately, we need it and just to help others along the way.”

His experience adjusting pro athletes:

“When it comes to professional athletes, they understand their body as a business without question. So, the average person, you may see them driving in a $150,000 car but then they’ll go buy a $3 meal. And so, there’s a contradiction there. But with athletes, there’s less of a contradiction. They understand that what they put in is what they get out. It’s literally their business.”

What he’s most grateful for:

“I would say I’m profoundly grateful for people that believed in me before I had self-belief. I grew up with a tremendous amount of lack of confidence and belief and, you know, doubt is a dream killer. And I had people, including my wife, who believed in me at times I didn’t believe in myself and through love, through a helping hand, I was able to grow.”

What’s the common denominator of people who live in alignment:

“I think it’s really gratitude. … When you can say thank you, it becomes fuel. And I think successful people are able to propel themselves consistently because they have this degree of gratitude where they just realized basically, I’m still here, I’m still in the game, I’m still in the fight. Let’s go! I love that. I know that I’m working on that as I grow, and I think we all are, right?”
